I'll be going on the road with Jim Rotondi's quintet in the first weeks of May. Check the itinerary for details.
My trio was in Malta for the Malta Jazz Festival. We opened what was a wonderful evening of music that included John Scofield's quartet. It was my first time in Malta, and it won't be my last!
I was invited to the 2nd International Scientific Jazz Conference Jazz XXI (Jazz in the 21st Century) at the Krzysztof Pendereki Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland. There, I presented my paper, Contemporary Comping - Evolution and Expansion of Harmony, Rhythm, and Musical Dialogue. I also participated in a benefit concert for Ukranian students in Krakow.
I was commissioned to write a few solo piano arrangements of music from "A Very Merry Widow" for the book "Operetta Goes Jazz", published by Doblinger.
